Get decisions made and work done, without it all resting on you.

We train and coach small businesses and nonprofits to share decisions, work through conflict and run meetings that end with a clear next step. Book a free call and we will help you see where to start.

Good enough for now, safe enough to try.

When everything runs through you, everything waits for you.

Your team is capable, but nobody is quite sure who owns what, so the questions keep coming back to you. Meetings run long and end without a decision. Disagreements get avoided until they turn into something bigger. You would love to hand more over, but every time you think about it, you worry that the quality will slip or that something important will fall through the cracks.

So you carry it. You answer the late messages, you make the calls nobody else will make, and you wonder how long you can keep going like this.

We believe people should not have to burn out to run a good organisation. There is a better way to share the load.

If nothing changes

The work will still get done, mostly. But you will stay the bottleneck, and growth will move at the speed of your inbox. Good people will either go quiet or move on because they never got the chance to own something. Unresolved tension will keep showing up in meetings in ways that are hard to name. And taking a proper break will keep feeling out of reach.

None of this means you are doing anything wrong. It usually means the way decisions are made has not grown along with your organisation.

You don’t have to work this out alone.

We have sat in the meetings that go nowhere and felt the weight of being the person everyone waits on. We also know how risky it feels to let go when you have built something with care. That is why we start small and move at a pace your team can trust.

Our approach is based on sociocracy, a way of organising where decisions are made by the people closest to the work and a proposal goes ahead when nobody has a reasoned objection to it. Brad is an accredited trainer with Sociocracy For All, and we also use nonviolent communication, a practical way of talking about what people need instead of who is to blame.

A neighbourhood that decides together

In Marine Estate, Muizenberg, over 400 neighbours organise themselves into small groups called circles, each looking after something they care about, from greening the vlei to running a repair café. Decisions that affect everyone are made together in a general circle, using consent, so people feel safe to speak up and try things.

Good enough for now, safe enough to try.

Instead of waiting for the perfect answer, your team agrees on a step that is good enough to start with and safe enough to test, then learns and adjusts as it goes.

How we work together

1

Book a free call

Tell us what feels stuck. We will listen, ask a few questions and suggest a sensible first step. There is no pressure to go further.

2

Start with one session

We run a focused session with your team on working through conflict and running meetings that end in decisions. Your team leaves with a few practices they can use the next day.

3

Build what fits

If it is working, we help you grow it into clear roles, shared authority and a regular rhythm for reviewing decisions. Once your organisation is clear on the inside, we can help you show it on the outside with a website and the digital tools to match.

What it looks like when it’s working

Two colleagues at their desks, one explaining and the other listening

Your team members know what their role is and feel trusted to make decisions within it. When people disagree, they say so openly, and the conversation leads somewhere useful. Meetings finish on time with a decision and a name next to every next step. You can step away for a week and come back to find the work has moved forward without you.

And when someone looks you up online, they find a website that shows an organisation that knows what it is doing and how to work with them.

Once you’re clear, show it online.

Most of our clients come to us for a website, and we still build them. When your organisation is clear about who it serves and how it works, a website becomes much easier to get right. We design and build sites, mostly on WordPress, that are clear to visitors and easy for your team to keep up to date.

What our website clients say

I had a challenge of not having a webpage to adequately communicate what our offering is. My biggest win is having something concrete to offer potential clients that communicates what we do.

Director, Renewal Network SA

It has been such a pleasure working with Matthew. He has been so helpful and responsive throughout the project. The aim was to; 1.Amend our school website 2.Switch domains 3.Conduct training All of which we’ve successfully completed. He was extremely patient during the training, he was flexible, went the extra mile and responded swiftly to a few unexpected issues that arose. Definitely looking forward to future projects and collaborating with him.

Administration, Eastridge Christian Academy

Working with Matthew has been phenomenal. His got an amazing attention to detail and ability to “under promise and over deliver” (which is priceless in the world of consulting) The effort and energy which he has put into the website (along with the team) has been inspiring.

Opening real opportunities

South Africa has too many capable people without work. Part of our mission is to help change that by making digital skills and paid digital work easier to reach. We do this by teaching practical skills and connecting people with real projects. Along the way we are building a community of learners and freelancers who help each other move forward.
